The Observatory at Alta Lakes is one of my favorite venues in the Telluride area. This historic cabin has a beautiful rustic interior & exterior with an amazing fireplace! This cabin can be accessed year-round but in the winter, snowmobiles are required unless you want to trek in with snowshoes or cross country skis. Keep in mind that in the summer, most vehicles can access the cabin, but the road can be rough at times so vehicles with a little clearance & sometimes 4WD can be helpful.

For booking this historic cabin, the price depends on the season & the number of guests. This little venue has a private lake with canoes & easy access to epic mountain scenery just a short drive from Telluride. The rental price also includes lodging for a select number of guests.
